You don't really experience a product until you hold it in your hands, and you can't hold an idea until you build it.If your product involves more than software, you will need to get physical.

Peter Kaltenbach has been designing products in Austin for the past 18+ years. Join him in a discussion covering the process of developing physical products. This session will cover the steps in getting from an idea to production, resources available to help in the process, the evolution of product development over the past two decades, and ample time for questions.

Peter is a co-founder, and partner at Pump Studios, a mechanical design firm with deep roots in Austin's product development community. At Pump, he has developed products ranging from high end consumer electronics, industrial controls and measurement devices, consumer products, pet products, huge 3D printers for the future of housing, agricultural production, and much more.
